Good riddance Vince. Don't tear anything going through customs... |

Well, this week I beat the coin 9-6. Over the last two weeks, I'm up by one, 15-14 |
|
Tried to watch Rebel Billionaire, and for a show with a bunch of Fear Factor-like stunts, it's really kinda boring. Nothing wrong with the stunts themselves, but for some reason the producers decided that talking about them was more interesting than, you know, SHOWING them.
Also, why are all the "candidates" American? Seeing as Branson isn't American, and his company is a multinational conglomerate, wouldn't it make sense to have people from around the world competing, especially since he's giving them HIS job? Then again, given that this is a show where doing a stunt will help decide whether you get to be a CEO or not, I suppose I can't be all that surprised.
Meanwhile, The Amazing Race has started up again, and I couldn't be happier. Before the Race started, I gave the following predictions:
11 - Meredith & Maria 10 - Gus & Hera 9 - Hayden & Aaron 8 - Don & Mary Jean 7 - Lena & Kristy 6 - Kris & Jon 5 - Avi & Joe 4 - Adam & Rebecca 3 - Lori & Bolo 2 - Jonathan & Victoria 1 - Freddy & Kendra
And of course Team NYJ proves me wrong and gets Philiminated first. It's kinda like my parlay predictions, actually.
Detour: Ice Climb was obviously the best call. Sure, it was difficult, but climbing was going to be much faster than searching an iceberg-strewn lake for a buoy. Asshole and Victoria lucked out, but the other two teams ended up at the bottom of the pack.
Teams I like: Team Utah - These girls did a lot better than I'd have thought doing the ice climb. Good work finishing third.
Team NYJ - Alas, you went out first. But you were very entertaining while you were around...
Teams I hate Asshole and Playmate - Sorry, but the jackhole just rubs me the wrong way. How you ended up with a Playmate wife is beyond me.
Hellboy and friend - The antennae just bother me
Teams I refuse to get attached to: Team So Very Old and Team Parent/Child. These teams traditionally do very poorly, and I don't see anything about them that will reverse this trend.
Next week's prediction: First: Kris and Jon Last: Gus/Hera |

The coin wins, 8-6. Nice to know that I suck... |
| » An exercise in futility |
I'm predicting the winners based on the spread, vs a quarter (Heads = Home), just to see if I'd be better off betting that way...
